Also known as Botox®, these anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription only medicine that help to soften lines and wrinkles which we develop over time by using facial muscles to express ourselves.
This treatment can be used in common areas such as crow’s feet around the eyes, frown and forehead lines which can make us look angry or stressed. The treatment is injected into those muscles that cause those lines to form and helps to reduce and soften them, thus resulting in a less angry and stressed appearance.
Other areas where injections can be used
The same treatment can also be used to soften and reduce necklines, jawline slimming to help contour the face and reduce excessive sweating.
This is a treatment commonly used by both males and females, however male facial muscles are generally considered to be stronger and usually require higher doses of the toxin.

What to expect
A detailed consultation and facial assessment is carried out, if appropriate, the treatment can take up to 30 minutes.
You will notice an effect after 3-5 days but the best results are seen after 2 to 3 weeks.
Occasionally bruising can occur but this settles after a number of days.
The effect will last on average of 3-6 months.
Dr Wass will arrange a follow up in 2 to 3 weeks to ensure the best results are achieved.
